Rabbit Island

Just off the coast from Kep, about a half hour skiff ride - no fancier boat is needed here, this water is like a giant lake - is a place called Koh Tonsai or Rabbit Island.

Out here, there are no genocides or carpet bombing campaigns or mine fields to worry about. It's all about palm trees and ocean and perfect beaches and no silly French-hotel-trance jams. The only disturbance is the occasional loud German in a speedo.

The horizon supplies us with lush mini islands here and there, the mountainous coast, and sometimes hand-rowed fishing boats.

Cyndi told me I didn't look disdainful enough, so it must be nice here. Bruce is napping in a hammock and swaying in the breeze. Cocktails are soon to come.
